Are Mall Santa's in trouble for saying "Ho, Ho, Ho"?

An Australian company that employs mall Santas asked their employees to refrain from saying "ho ho ho" because they thought it would be offensive to women. When word got out, the their was quite a public outcry at how ridiculous their request was that the company eventually withdrew its request, and Australian Santas were free to "ho ho ho" all they wanted.
