I am working in DSP codecs (4 yrs), I am thiking to learn VLSI , will it add more weigt to my carrier?

HI I am working as a DSP engineer - Codecs (from 4 years) and would like to learn VLSI logic design , will it add weight to my carrier. I am good at all speech, video , audio codecs and all Signal processing algorithms.
