Why is U2 singer Bono at the Pentagon?

Shouldn't he be reaching into his own pocket to fight global poverty before insisting that the American taxpayers dig into theirs? Didn't Bono move his business out of Ireland to escape the tax man (and hurt his own Irish people by doing so)?
